Legal Assistant

We are seeking a Legal Assistant/Paralegal for a law firm in Roanoke that specializes in corporate and business law. The goal is to sustain the efficiency of all office procedures and case management to guarantee reliability and consistency.

ResponsibilitiesWork experience of 1+ years minimum as commercial/corporate/trusts and estates paralegal legal assistant in corporate and/or trusts and estatesExperience creating and processing a variety of corporate transactional documents including entity formation, asset purchase, financing, and license agreementsExperience working in trust and estate document preparation and administrationStrong organizational, logical, and analytical skillsExcellent proofreading skills resulting in error-free workProficiency with Microsoft Word including redlining and Microsoft ExcelFamiliarity with document management software and transcription equipmentExperience in maintaining large well-organized filesAble to navigate office technologyStrong interpersonal skills

Salary will depend on qualifications/experience, but the range would be $45000 to $58000. The firm provides long-term disability, a small life insurance policy, 401k match of up to 4% after eligibility (1 year), parking, and a $4,000 annual medical reimbursement plan which employees can apply either to health insurance premiums under the firm’s plan, or if they are insured elsewhere, to their out of pocket medical expenses (copays, prescriptions, etc.).
