Senior Site Reliability Engineer
📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Mile Two is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of cloud infrastructure and applications. You will work closely with stakeholders to design and implement cloud solutions. Senior Site Reliability Engineers will be expected to have creative solutions to new applications, inspect and offer recommendations on existing applications, and evaluate new technologies. Senior Site Reliability Engineers will also:Develop and implement cloud security strategies and policies to protect company assets in the cloudDesign, deploy, and maintain secure cloud architectures, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS platformsPerform regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate risksCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with security standards and regulationsMonitor and analyze security logs and events, and respond to security incidents in a timely manner
REQUIRED:Bachelors with 10-12 years experience or Masters with 8-10 years experienceA BS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experienceAbility to obtain a security clearanceMust work East Coast business hoursIn-depth knowledge of public and private cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google CloudStrong understanding of cloud security best practices and frameworks, including CSA, NIST, and CISExperience with cloud-based security technologies, such as IAM, encryption, identity management, and network securityFamiliarity with compliance requirements, such as DoD ATO, IL Classifications and Security, GDPR, and CCPAExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong communication and collaboration abilitiesExperience leading DevOps Transformation efforts throughout organizationsExperience helping define SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs and implementing them in a multi-tenant cloudAdditional job responsibilities as assigned
DESIRED:Experience using scale-out cloud and/or HPC architectures for parallel programming
LEADERSHIP:Ability to mentor less experienced team members and help develop their skill setsStrong presentation and interpersonal skills to help drive change with cooperation/collaboration and not dictation
