Your Role: As a Sr. Technical Project Manager within the Process and Technology team, you are a critical business partner for and will be accountable for managing and advancing technology within MilliporeSigma’s Life Science Biologics Sector. This position will support growth by developing & expanding internal capabilities, deploying best-in-class robust processes & technologies to ensure efficient use of our assets. Specifically, this position will scout, develop and execute advanced manufacturing & automation technologies to help develop best-in-class industrial strategies for existing & new products. This position will ensure that technology roadmaps for core technologies are developed, documented, executed, updated and tracked to completion to achieve our business commitments. The Projects/Programs are significant in size and are usually of a complex nature. The Process & Technology Project Manager will be in contact with internal stakeholders across the organization and will work closely with the execution teams of our projects. This position requires good stakeholder and communication skills, as well as a solid technical background with understanding of engineering and scientific best practices. The preferred location of this position is in St. Louis, Missouri, or Temecula, California Who you are: Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor degree in Engineering, or Science related fieldMinimum 10 years of professional experience in technical project management for project execution or equivalent experienceWorking knowledge of quality and safety regulations Preferred Qualifications:Master’s degree in engineering, or Science related fieldExperience in a multinational environment (preferably life science or pharma and/or within Merck)Understanding of Engineering and Biological / Life Science processesExperience working in a regulated environmentLean Manufacturing or Six Sigma trained would be an advantagePMP certification preferredExperience of managing contracts and external design with external company managementDeep expertise in Engineering, Life Science processes, and Project management Job Specific Competencies & Skills:Excellent verbal, written & interpersonal communication skillsCompetencies: Leadership skills, Influence skills, Change agentThe ability to work effectively within a team environment Process driven and experienced in standardizing and simplifying work processesExcellent facilitation and presentation skills, advanced in MS PowerPoint and ExcelAble to develop executive level presentations and reports in an efficient mannerGood stakeholder management skills across all levelsExperience in working in a complex matrix organizationDiscretion and ability to deal with confidential informationAbility to engage broad audiences to adopt new work processes and drive changeA demonstrated commitment to safety
