Graphic Designer

Mimeo Photos is looking for a graphic designer with consumer products design experience to create engaging and on-brand graphics for email, web, and print. As the leading photo print provider in the Mac App Store, we provide exceptional quality print products to consumers worldwide. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong understanding of branding and visual storytelling, with a proven ability to create compelling designs. Must be a creative, self-motivated individual with a keen visual sense and passion for good design. Knowledge of or experience in the photo book/photo gift industry and/or photography is a plus. Ideal candidate is located within 1-2 hours of the Eastern Time Zone.

Key Responsibilities: Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize with Marketing Team and other stakeholders on a wide range of materials, including website graphics and landing pages, emails, digital and print advertisements, printed inserts, and other marketing campaignsGenerate ideas and concepts for new campaigns, designing images that bring our stories to lifeTranslate strategic direction into high-quality design within the Mimeo Photos and Motif established brand identitiesCreate clean design for marketing campaigns, social media, web, e-commerce, presentations, and any other designs as needed, with a deep understanding of what resonates with the target audience, particularly in the photography and print industryDevelop high-quality graphics and layouts for emails and landing pagesEnsure meticulous attention to detail in all design elements, maintaining consistency and quality across all consumer touchpoints while executing within the brand strategyConceptualize and design page layouts and thematic content for printDevelop visually appealing layouts, graphics, and illustrations for email communications, which are sent in 10 different languages through HubSpotEdit and optimize photos for website and campaignsAssist in development of assets for product photography (creating photo books, calendars, cards, etc. using the Mimeo Photos apps)Design and develop instructional content for how to use the Mimeo Photos apps

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise:4+ years of experience in professional and clean graphic design A compelling portfolio of work that demonstrates high quality design across multiple mediums within a variety of campaigns and projectsKnowledge of layouts, design fundamentals, color theory, typography, print, and web designStrong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) and other visual design toolsProficiency with both print and digital mediaProficiency with email design, preferably using CMS platforms such as HubSpotExperience with HTML and CSSOrganizational and time management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsSelf-motivated with a positive attitude, proven communication skills, and ability to present work confidentlyComfortable working within multidisciplinary teams and independently when necessaryWorking knowledge of Figma/SketchKnowledge of User Experience and User Interface Design a plusKnowledge/familiarity with photo book/photo gift printing industry a plusBachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a similar field, or equivalent experience
