Seeds Student Worker

SEEDS STUDENT WORKER PROGRAMSalary Range: $16.82 - $19.69 per hour

Start your career while you finish your degree. MnDOT’s Seeds Student Worker Program provides paid, career-track positions at MnDOT to highly motivated college students from underrepresented groups. The program has flexible scheduling - work up to 40 hours per week during school breaks and reduced hours during the school year to focus on your classes. Some positions require in-person work, and some positions may be eligible for a hybrid schedule.

Seeds Student Workers assist offices across the entire agency meaning we hire students majoring in many different fields to fill positions from technical sciences to business administration work. QUALIFICATIONSThe Seeds program places college students into paid Student Worker positions in various offices throughout MnDOT. Seeds students must also meet the following minimum qualifications:Identify in one of the following categories: minority, veteran, student with disabilities, economically disadvantaged, or woman in STEM/non-traditional fieldsBe a current student enrolled at a college/university, trade, or technical school - undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to applyHave a minimum GPA of 2.5 (3.0 for engineers)Have at least one academic year left before graduation

• The Minnesota Department of Transportation does not sponsor applicants for work visas or Optional Practical Training Extensions for STEM Students. Individuals must be legally authorized to work in the US at the start of employment.
