Job Description
Group 39 is seeking a co-op candidate who will provide complete IT hardware/software support for 70+ users.
Responsibilities
Complete operating system installations and troubleshooting for Windows 10, 11, Windows Server 2019, and Linux (Red Hat and Ubuntu). Configure and maintain network infrastructure within the LAN between Windows and UNIX/Linux as well as connections to the LAN from remote locations. Assist staff members in day-to-day issues: troubleshooting hardware, software and network problems both on and off-site Identify vulnerabilities across all IT assets and apply patching and other fixes for remediation. Assist in developing our growing IT infrastructure. Work on existing projects and help develop new projects aimed at improving the group's IT effectiveness and efficiency.
Requirements
Currently enrolled in accredited Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Networking/IT Degree program. Must be knowledgeable of various operating systems: Windows 10, 11, Windows Server 2019, Mac OS X, and Linux (Red Hat, Ubuntu, etc.). Understanding of virtualization concepts; basic experience working with various hypervisors. Familiarity with Microsoft application software, as well as other application software, and should have a basic understanding of networking.
Selected candidate will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD security clearance.
