Client: Leading Consumer Brands Organization Title: Full-Time Accountant Location: Englewood, NJ Compensation: Base + Bonus + Benefits
ResponsibilitiesManage accounts payable and receivable for timely and accurate transaction recording.Record credit card transactions and expense reports monthly.Assist in month-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for informed decision-making.Collaborate with finance team to improve financial procedures and ensure compliance.Participate in budgeting and forecasting, providing insightful analysis.Assist in tax preparation and compliance activities.Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.Contribute to implementation and maintenance of financial systems and controls.Engage in continuous learning to stay updated on accounting standards and best practices.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in consumer goods or retail.Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and reporting.Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.Strong organizational and time-management abilities.Ability to collaborate in a team environment and communicate effectively across all levels.Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.Experience with Netsuite ERP considered advantageous.
