Summary
Join our dynamic team as an Accountant and play a key role in driving excellence in our full-cycle accounting processes! You'll be responsible for supporting the full-cycle accounting function in a given month in various areas such as Accrued Liabilities, Prepaids, Fixed Assets, Software, Payroll related entries, and month-end account reconciliations. You will extend your support in preparing periodic financial statements and financial reporting to MiTek's holding company.

What you'll do
Assisting with business unit month-end and year-end close;Preparing monthly journal entries and related support schedules;Preparing month-end balance sheet account reconciliations;Assisting with preparation of business unit financial statements;Maintaining and updating accounting policies and procedures;Providing data for annual budget;Maintaining and reconciling fixed assets and software schedules in CCH;Analyzing general ledger accounts and resolving discrepancies.
Qualifications
Bachelors Accounting required or related field or an equivalent combination of experience and education which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute on a year for year basisUp to 1 Year Entry level experience required. Previous experience in public accounting or manufacturing related accounting and reporting a plus.Able to use Microsoft Office ApplicationsCertified Public Accountant (CPA) - External Agency/Certifier Certified Public Accountant preferred

Additional Requirements
10% Travel to domestic MiTek locations as needed.
