Summary

Responsible for owning and controlling direction of BIM components of the MiTek Design Engagement software solutions. Works directly with various Design Engagement Product Managers on short and long-term planning on both existing and new Design Engagement software solutions. Responsible for writing operational requirements for Design Engagement BIM software solutions including design, documentation and verification of features and functionality. Oversees the development of project information models which contain 3D visualizations to bring together data and drawings, provides insight into development of structural construction documents (i.e. plan view, sections, details, schedules, etc.); and provides technical assistance and training in support of these features and functionality. Works directly with customers to determine market needs, run customer research efforts including usability testing, and to determine competitive environment needs. Is an active and critical member of an Agile Development scrum team within software development process and is a key part of the decision-making group to assess risk of various projects alongside project manager, software developers, QA managers, and other stakeholders such as the Product Portfolio Manager for Design Solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in BIM and structural construction documentation requiredPrevious experience as an Architect, Engineer of Record (EOR), or BIM Manager highly preferred5-10 years experience in light-framed multi-dwelling wood construction preferredExperience with Autodesk Revit highly preferredExperience in UX usability principals preferredExperience working in a software development environment preferredFamiliarity with Product Management methodologies desired Passion to learn new technologies, and brainstorm broad applications or ideas with a wide range of stakeholders and customers Ability to foster new and existing relationships with a variety of personality types Strong communication skills to interact frequently with stakeholders and clients.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)Familiarity with software development environments like C# or Visual Basic .NET is beneficial but not required
