Growing organization offering a dynamic, elite working environment and the opportunity to be exposed to many facets of accounting is seeking a self-motivated, energetic Manufacturing Accountant. The Manufacturing Accountant will report to the Corporate Controller and will perform accounting functions for a multi-site organization. In this role you will be responsible for the following tasks:

Leading month-end and year-end activities for three sitesUnderstanding, completing and analyzing financial statements Preparing and coordinating financial statements Completing financial analysis and reporting findings to management partnersWorking with team members to coordinate budgeting and forecasting functionsOverseeing inventory analysis Completing reporting within the ERP system, including ad hoc reporting, sales/operations analytics, etc. Maintenance of labor and overhead ratesEvaluating and analyzing variances between actual and standard costs Partnering with manufacturing and accounting teams to complete time sensitive projectsWorking to improve processes within the finance team Other accounting duties as requested by management

This is a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment that offers the opportunity to be diverse in accounting responsibilities. This position does require candidates to be flexible, approachable, open to new ideas, organized, team oriented, analytical, energetic and have the ability to perform heavy analysis. Candidates should be patient and able to communicate at all levels. Travel is less than 5% in this role. REQUIREMENTS for the Manufacturing Accountant:1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance2. At least 3-5 years in a similar accounting and/or finance position 3. Experience performing accounting and/or finance functions in manufacturing environments 4. A strong financial analysis background5. Experience supporting month and year-end closing6. Budgeting and forecasting experience 7. Experience with ERP and/or MRP software systems8. Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs

Skills preferred but NOT required:1. Experience performing accounting functions for multiple locations 2. Supervision experience 3. Cost accounting experience 4. Power BI
