Sr Accountant
📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
We are looking for an exceptional Senior Accountant who is recognized as a knowledgeable, enthusiastic and exceptional member of the MKS global accounting team. This position will be based in our Beaverton, OR office.
Perform monthly System revenue analysis;Prepare and post revenue deferral/recognition journal entries; ASC 606 calculation and adjustment entries. Provide relevant various revenue reporting to the management team and business partners. Drive strong internal controls to ensure compliance of financial reporting requirements and maintain proper SOX documentation. Perform as a key contributor to the monthly and quarterly closing process. Prepare EMEA journal entries, VAT filing, audit, payroll coordination, GL reporting and BS reconciliationsPrepare for and assist in internal control reviews and financial statement audits with both internal and external auditors
What will you bring to the team, along with your curiosity
4+ year relevant professional experience in accounting BA/BS or equivalent educational background, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. Extensive SAP experience highly preferred. Skilled use of advanced Excel functions including Vlookup and pivot tables is a plus. Willingness to dig into detail right down to the transaction level, if necessary, in order to problem solve. Ability to self-direct and prioritize responsibilities as appropriate. Accuracy and attention to detailExperience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
