Senior Engineer

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Senior Engineer in Falls Church, VA to lead the planning and execution of complex mission and systems analysis efforts to support the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E) Assistant Secretary of Defense for Mission Capabilities (ASD(MC)) and the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Multi-Domain Joint Operations (DASD(MDJO)).

Responsibilities

As the Senior Engineer with MTSI, you will lead the planning and execution of complex mission and systems analysis efforts to support the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E) Assistant Secretary of Defense for Mission Capabilities (ASD(MC)) and the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Multi-Domain Joint Operations (DASD(MDJO)). The organization’s mission is to facilitate the identification and transition of technologies, systems, and systems-of-systems that close time-critical gaps in high-priority, multi-component missions. The position is located in Falls Church, VA.

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:

Lead the planning and execution of complex mission and systems analysis efforts which may include Technology Analysis and Assessment, System Definition, Systems Analysis, Systems Architecture development and architecture products for Systems of Systems, kill chain analysis, Systems Engineering trade space and analysis to define capability gaps, Modeling and Simulation activities for mission improvement, or Logistics support of DoD systems.

Qualifications

Required Experience

Minimum 15 years' of experience.Demonstrated experience supporting technical, managerial or operational fields with professional oral and written communication skills across various stakeholders at varying levels of leadership/seniority.Experience communicating, interfacing, and interacting with Joint Staff, Services, and warfighters on topics associated with engineering and analysis.

Desired Experience

Experience with OUSD(R&E).

Education Requirement

Master’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.

Clearance Requirements

Active TOP SECRET clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (SCI).U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
