📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
We are working on a mandate for one of the world’s leading multi-strategy hedge funds. They have maintained one of most consistent and impressive performance records in the industry, while growing AUM and building out best in class infrastructure. They are looking for an experienced Operations professional to support the Global Head of Operations across day-to-day operations, team management and strategic projects.
This role is part of a lean team and offers a unique blend of hands-on trade support and supervisory duties, combined with a significant focus on project management. The operations are supported by top-tier, in-house systems and infrastructure, emphasizing continuous innovation and automation. The team sits alongside the tech and quant teams and are heavily involved in automation and process improvement projects.
The firm has developed a unique culture that encourages a collaborative approach to solving complex problems. This position requires an ambitious individual who is looking to make a step up to a leadership role, and has the confidence and experience to take a lead role handling companywide projects. The ability to face off to and push back on Portfolio Managers is essential.
The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of relevant experience, coming from a buy-side firm. Technical proficiency in SQL, Python and/or VBA is highly preferred. Supervisory/management experience is not required.
Total compensation for year-one can go as high as $400k (including a minimum guaranteed bonus). This hire will be based in the firm’s Manhattan office.
