📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced Workshop Fitter Machinist to join our team in Kalgoorlie WA. This role is a for a mechanically minded person with good attention to detail. You will be self-motivated and adaptable as the job requires.
This is a full-time permanent opportunity for a person that is looking for career stability and a good work/life balance. As a Workshop Fitter you will be reporting to the Branch Manager.
Duties And Responsibilities
Build and recondition driveshafts for automotive, commercial, off highway and industrial applicationsMachine driveline componentsAssemble, weld, and balance driveshaftsGeneral workshop duties as required
To be successful in this role you need
Well-developed fitting and machining skills obtained in a workshop environmentSound mechanical aptitude and knowledgeExperience operating manual lathes and welding equipment is essentialDemonstrate a high degree of flexibility with job tasksAbility to participate in ongoing training and openness to new ideasProven safety and quality focus and able to perform assigned duties in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with company's polices & proceduresWillingness to work as part of a team and do whatever is required to help achieve business targets
