Qlik Sense Software Engineer
6 Month Contract (Possible extension or Contract-to-Hire)Location: Hybrid/ 2-3 Days per week (Client located in Pleasanton, CA)
Job Description
Hands on experience in Qlik Sense development, dashboarding and data modeling and reporting (ad hoc report generation) techniques.Must be good at Data transformation, the creation of QVD files and set analysis.Experienced in application designing, architecting, development and deployment using Qlik Sense.Must be efficient in front-end development and know visualization best practices.Thoughtful implementation of Qlik Sense best practices to deliver effective Qlik Sense solutions to the users.Able to comprehend and translate complex and advanced functional, technical, and business requirements into executable architectural designs.Creating and maintaining technical documentation.Experienced in data integration through extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data from various sources.Gather business requirements & map to function and technical design documents.Must be good at usage of extension.Advanced security implementation in the dashboard.Experience in Qlik Sense optimization techniques.Ability to analyze and define business problems, develop business cases, and advise business owners on managing risks.Will be required to Design, Implement, test and Support Reports and Dashboards within the agreed SLA.Strong database design and SQL skills. Experienced in RDMS such as MS SQL Server, Oracle, Redshift etc.Strong communication skills (verbal/written) to deliver technical insights and interpret data reports to the clients.Also helps in understanding and serving the client’s requirements.Implement fixes and enhancements to production applications.Strong analytical and problem solving, Energetic, agile, proactive, keen to learn and progress.
Skill Requirements
5+ Years of experience in managing Qlik Sense / QlikView and Business Objects Environments.Perform Install and Upgrades of Qlik Sense. Experience with Qlik QMC and Qlik Hub. Flexibility of work schedule based on our Global Customers. Identify the opportunity for automation and design/build the end-to-end solutions. Strong skills in writing SQL queries using databases like Redshift, Microsoft SQL Server, or other industry leading RDBMS. Excellent analytical and technical skills. Willingness to learn new technologies based on organizational needs. Good written and verbal communication skills. Experience in working with virtual & global teams across different time zones.
