Reports to: Clinical Director Location: Bennington, Vermont Salary up to $56,000 $2000 Sign on Bonus The first installment is paid after 60 days and the second installment after 90 days. Summary: The Family Therapist will work closely with the youth, the student's family, and the student's clinical team (Clinician, Permanency Coordinator)

Responsibilities and Duties: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Provide family therapy for assigned youth, according to youth's needs. Participate as a member of an integrated clinical team, along with the youth's Individual Clinician. Support parents in viewing and responding to the youth through a trauma lens As indicated, support repair of the hurts present in parent-child relationship Complete the Family section of the psychosocial assessment, including supporting the goal and objectives of Family & Community section of the Individual Treatment Plan As indicated, participate in permanency and discharge planning with youth, family and agency personnel involved with students. Maintain confidentiality of information in provision of services within the VPI program, except when appropriate legal consent is given to do otherwise. Inform youth of the limits of confidentiality within the school, which includes information (1) needed to develop the treatment plan, (2) indicating the youth is at risk of harming self or others, including running away behavior, (3) regarding criminal conduct of youth or others, (4) indicating abuse or threat of abuse within and outside the facility. Report all pertinent information to your Supervisor Attend continuing educational courses that facilitate professional growth. Attend weekly Clinical team meetings, as scheduled Pursue appropriate channels of communication Understand the administrative structure, chain of command and program philosophy of VPI. Accurately accounts for time worked/ time scheduled off Appropriately represent VPI to the community, youths' parents, and outside agencies. Follow all company policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Education Requirements: Master's degree in social work, school of psychology, psychology or counseling, or related field. Experience working with traumatized children and/or adolescents. Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality. Excellent intrapersonal and organizational skills.

Other Requirements: Valid driver's license preferred & 21 + years of age. Authorized to work in the United States (Required).
