Responsibilities
1st Shift - (6:00 am - 3:00 pm Monday - Thursday and 6:00 am - 12:00 Noon Friday and overtime as business needs dictate)
Starting Pay $18.00 (additional compensation may be available depending upon experience)
Our Globe Footwear Plant, a Division of MSA Safety, is looking for individuals who are interested in being part of a team that builds protective leather footwear for firefighters. Our Team consist of individuals performing stitching and non stitching operations as we convert specialty cut fabric into high quality footwear.
We are now hiring a Cutting Room Associate at our manufacturing plant to support operations as we convert specialty cut fabric into high quality footwear.
Responsibilities
Spreading leather on cutting tablesCutting leather into pieces using a GERBER CutterUsing a swing beam and dies to hand cut partsPlacing cut goods on rolling racksPrepping material for other areas of production
Qualifications
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent Must be able to stand/walk, bend and reach for full shiftAble to assist in team lifting of approximately 30 poundsStrong organization skills and high attention to detailGood communication skills and ability to work individually and as a team
Ability to
Read, write and speak in Basic EnglishHave basic knowledge of computers or tabletsUse and understand a ruler and measurements
Experience Preferred
Previous experience in Quality Control and Inspection desirableAbility to use a measuring tape/ruler and take accurate measurements
