Responsibilities
1st Shift - (6:00 am - 3:00 pm Monday - Thursday and 6:00 am - 12:00 Noon Friday and overtime as business needs dictate)
Starting Pay $18.00/hr
Our Globe Footwear Plant, a Division of MSA Safety, is looking for individuals who are interested in being part of a team that builds protective leather footwear for firefighters. Our Team consists of individuals performing stitching and non stitching operations as we convert specialty cut fabric into high quality footwear.
We are now hiring for a Production Worker to support our Lasting Department. This role is counted on to perform day to day tasks utilizing machinery and be responsible for the following:
Prep, Lasting, Inspection, Finishing (Non-Sewing Operations)Material Preparation.Performing various shoe lasting operations to produce footwear, including inserting leather uppers in to clamping devices attached to machine.Will be responsible for reading production tags and the quality of their work.
Qualifications
Requirements
Able to speak, read and write English.Must be able to reach 12-18 inches.Must be able to stand/walk for a full shift.Strong organization skills and high attention to detail.Previous experience in Quality Control and Inspection desirable.Good Manual dexterity skills and ability to work with your hands.Positive and flexible attitude and ability to work and be a team player.High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred
Experience in sewing/stitching.Experience performing Lasting operations with machinery and by hand.
