📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Murphy Schiller & Wilkes (MSW) is a boutique law firm servicing the commercial real estate and construction industries. The firm is currently seeking to hire a full-time Litigation Associate with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in civil litigation. Qualified applicants must be licensed to practice law in both New Jersey and New York (Pennsylvania is a plus).
This is an in-office position in the firm's Newark, NJ office (please do not apply if you are interested in a remote or hybrid arrangement).
Responsibilities
Handle complex construction and real estate litigation matters including drafting of pleadings and discovery, conduct of depositions, and court appearances including potential for trial, in all five (5) NYC counties, NY and NJ state, and Federal Courts.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates should possess a strong work ethic, the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, and the ability to meet deadlines. Strong writing and analytical skills are a must. The firm offers a competitive salary (commensurate with experience) and benefits.
