The Department of Computer Science at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock has an opening for two full-time Assistant Professors in Computer Science (R0054025) and (R0054041) to teach undergraduate and graduate courses and establish and sustain a productive research program. The Department seeks applicants interested in joining the energetic collaborative faculty of a growing department. A competitive salary is budgeted. This position will enable the successful candidate to participate in the continuous improvement of the curriculum, course content, and course delivery modes of the BS in Computer Science and the BS in Cybersecurity as well as numerous UA System approved certificate programs. Teaching faculty in the Department of Computer Science may receive support for their teaching assignments in the form of graduate teaching assistants (GTAs). Enterprising candidates interested in becoming a member of a forward-focused faculty are encouraged to apply. This position is governed by state and federal laws as well as agency and institution policies.
Required Education and Experience: Candidates must have a PhD in Computer Science or related discipline, excellent communication skills, a commitment to undergraduate and graduate education and a capacity for productive research, funding, and publishing.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in grant writing and research funding; professional experience in the software industry; experience teaching online in Blackboard or other LMSs; experience with a variety of teaching modalities; experience with current software-development processes and best practices
