Position Overview
Dearden Law Offices, a firm distinguished for delivering custom legal services to businesses, high-net-worth individuals, and corporate clients, is currently seeking an Associate Attorney with a specialization in business and corporate law.
This remote, self-directed role offers an opportunity to work directly with Matt Dearden, founder and lead attorney. We are searching for a proactive go-getter, eager to take initiative and passionate about growing a book of business. With Dearden Law, you will have the chance to contribute to a diverse range of areas including business & real estate transactions, tax guidance, corporate governance, and contract review & negotiation.
Key Responsibilities
Handle a variety of legal tasks related to business, corporate, tax, real estate, and corporate securities law.Conduct thorough research and provide legal advice to clients on various complex issues.Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents to ensure clients' interests are protected.Collaborate closely with Matt Dearden on high-profile cases, offering a unique mentorship and growth opportunity.Develop and maintain client relationships, with a focus on expanding the firm's book of business.Occasionally travel as required to meet with clients or attend court proceedings.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Must be licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. state.A minimum of 3 years of experience in business, corporate, tax, real estate, or corporate securities law.Exceptional analytical, research, and written/oral communication skills.Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.Proven track record of being proactive and taking initiative.Comfortable with remote work and possesses the discipline to manage yourself effectively.
