About The Position

As the Bakery Manager, you are taking the lead in directing team members, managing department inventory, pricing integrity, and other operational processes that require significant attention to detail. This is a fast-paced position that requires efficiency and effectiveness and a passion for excellence to drive results. George's Donuts & Merriment is a high end, ingredient driven all day cafe. Work with a James Beard nominated Pastry Chef and a Stellar team!

Responsibilities include: Greet guests and proactively assist them in a friendly manner with accurate and timely serviceMaking recommendations and accommodating requests, including specialty orders, catering and small events.Assist in managing P&L statements, monitor financial performance, and make strategic decisions to achieve target profitability goals and metrics.Lead and supervise all personnel including hiring, training, scheduling and performance management to ensure high performing teamConduct regular performance evaluations with the team and provide regular coaching, training and mentorshipmonitor and address customer feedback, complaints and concerns promptly and efficientlyAssist the pastry chef in coordinating with the marketing team on promotional activities, events and specialsManaging order guides/ordering deadlines/reducing shrink/damageProperly receiving/stocking of goods that follow rotation standards when replenishing product levels.Direct teams to handle, properly receiving/stocking, and merchandising of goods that follow George's Donut and Merriment standardsEngage, motivate, coach, and train team members “on-the-job” in a professional, safe and secure mannerAvailability

This position requires the willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, early mornings, and holidays.

Qualifications2-3 years of management experience in retail, cafe, donut shop, baking, and/or culinary experienceWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office, excel and spreadsheetsMust be at least 18 years old1-3 years Fine dining or high end Coffee experience
