JOB DESCRIPTIONGETTYSBURG VILLAGE & PARK CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER Job Summary:

The CIO must be able to ensure that information technology adds the maximum value to Gettysburg Village & Park so as to facilitate success by devising Gettysburg Village & Park’s IT strategy and ensure that all systems necessary to support its operations and objectives are in place.The CIO must have a solid IT background and consistently keep up-to-date with advancements of the field. Apart from education and experience, the CIO must have every quality of a leader and a strong strategic and business acumen.In particular, the CIO must have training and experience in gathering requirements, analyzing needs and implementing solutions for a start-up enterprise.

Reporting To:President and CEO of Gettysburg Village & Park (GVP)

Essential Job Functions:● Set measurable goals, objectives and strategies for the IT department and GVP implementation and on-going needs on campus and in each profit center areas● Select and implement approved current and future suitable technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimize their strategic benefits● Design and customize technological systems and platforms to improve customer and owner experiences● Plan the implementation of new systems and provide guidance to IT professionals and other staff within the organization● Approve purchases of technological equipment and software and establish partnerships with IT providers● Oversee the technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems) in the organization and profit center areas to ensure optimal performance including: developing queries and reports to extract information from existing databases when needed and test new programs to ensure accuracy● Direct and organize IT-related projects such as: technical manuals, confer with user outlines, computer and phone diagnostics, etc.● Educate and train owner, staff and others on IT related subjects, phone, computer and provide training materials and classes● Setup equipment for all employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of hardware components, operating systems and approved software● Monitor changes or advancements in technology to discover ways that GVP reaches greatest potential with expansion● Devise and implement a web strategy, including digital content development● Provide a digital platform that reflects the goals of GVP on social media and other approved arenas ● Analyze the costs, value and risks of information technology to advise management and suggest actions ● Structure and five-year approved budget and implementation strategy for entire campus and delineated between profit centers● Assist in hiring, training and mentoring other IT personnel● Insure data security and backups on a monthly basis● Plan and implement network, software and server upgrades● Maintain system documentation● Answer questions and resolve any network, software, computer, phone or database issues for users in a timely manner● Setup new users with network, phone, voicemail, and database access; remove terminated employees● Act as a liaison with outside vendors on all IT topics● Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree in IT related fieldExtensive training in Project Management, particularly in the gathering of business and technical requirements and managing risksTraining in Office 365, Engineering Administration and Personnel Administration Certification:Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation Certificate in Service Management recommended.

Work Experience: Must have minimum 10 years of experience in the IT Field in a Supervisor role of IT Department with 5 years system administrator experienceA+ Certification plus 3 years related experience
