📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
I have been contracted to find a DCP for a foreign bank in NYC. We are seeking a Deputy Compliance Officer for our Compliance team. We are seeking someone who is CAMS certified, possesses at least a Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of BSA/AML/OFAC experience – preferably in an international bank (though its preferred to be a smaller bank, $250-500Billion asset size USD) Also important is experience with NYDFS 504, correspondent banking and trade finance. Prior experience with system conversions would also be helpful. Must have the ability and willingness to challenge status quo.
We are a foreign bank regulated by the FRBNY and NYDFS. Our business is primarily correspondent banking, trade finance and corporate loans. We are not a retail bank and do not offer checking/savings accounts, etc. Reporting to the BSA officer, responsibilities will include:
- Audit/Examination Coordination/Assistance
- Correspondent Bank EDD/Risk Assessment
- KYC file supervisory reviews
- Staff training
- Annual BSA/AML/OFAC Risk Assessments
- Compliance (2nd Line of Defense) Testing
- Manage system upgrades
- Model tuning and review
- Review of regulatory developments/regulatory changes
- Updating/modifying policies/procedures, as needed
- Part 504 Coordination/Assistance
- QC review of BSA and OFAC cases
- Review/approve OFAC escalations
- Check and review OFAC updates
- Supervisory review of BSA alerts, including suggestions for improvements and/or training – as needed
- Filling in and performing primary BSA alert reviews if/when needed

Located in NYC, Midtown Office
Target Comp $150K (with some flex for the right candidate)
