Position Overview:As the Controller at Structure Properties, you will serve as a key leader in our finance team, overseeing the financial operations and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting for our property management division. Your role will be critical in driving financial strategy, maintaining compliance, and providing valuable insights to support informed decision-making across our property portfolio. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of property management finance, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of financial management excellence.

Responsibilities:Lead all aspects of financial management for our property management division, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.Develop and maintain robust financial policies and procedures tailored to the unique requirements of property management operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for internal stakeholders, property owners, and investors.Direct the budgeting and forecasting process for our property portfolio, collaborating closely with property managers and asset managers to develop realistic financial plans and performance targets.Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and financial health across our property portfolio, providing valuable insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance and mitigate risks.Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, lenders, and other financial stakeholders, ensuring timely completion of audits, tax filings, and financial reporting requirements.Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making, including property acquisitions, dispositions, and capital improvement projects. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of financial data.Lead and mentor the finance team within the property management division, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, with a focus on property management finance.Deep understanding of property management accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.Proven leadership skills, with experience leading and developing high-performing finance teams.Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
