Design Engineer

We’re supporting our client, specializes in the design and construction of large and small scale production plants for innovative chemical products and processes based in Florence, AL who are looking for a Designer to join their growing team. The successful Designer will have 3+ years’ experience in Industrial Process Design, Industrial Equipment Design, Estimating, and proficient use of SolidWorks and AutoCAD software.

Salary: $40,000 - $80,000Benefits: Benefits: Comprehensive benefit package including medical, 401K, leave, and supplemental coverages, some available after probationary period.Job Type: PermanentLocation: Florence, ALJob Start date: ASAPHours: Hours: 40hrs/week; must be able to work on short notice and work extra hours, including weekends, if needed

Responsibilities

to the Design Manager.and adhere to all active contracts and confidentiality agreements with company and associated clients.and adhere to all safety rules, procedures, and complete all necessary safety training.industrial process plants and equipment and estimate the cost of each.drawing skills and understanding of mechanics to create visual plans that are used by engineers and fabricators to create products.with engineers and others in obtaining necessary information and data to complete designs and cost estimates.for the procurement of materials and buyout items.the use of both hands to perform tasks.to sit and work on the computer for several hours at a time.and handling of boxes and sales equipment of up to 50lbs.overhead, stooping, kneeling, walking, talking, hearing, reading, and seeing.

About You

Degree in Design or equivalent work experience and training.years’ experience in Industrial Process Design, Industrial Equipment Design, Estimating, and proficient use of SolidWorks and AutoCAD software.and experience in latest version of SolidWorks and AutoCAD.and experience in industrial process design, piping and instrument design, electrical designs, structural designs, and in equipment used in design.hand drawing skills.in cost estimating of equipment.in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.communication through verbal, written, and electronic formats.to maintain a professional, courteous, and tactful working relationship with other employees and with clients and visitors.to maintain a clean work environment and a professional appearance while on the job.be detail-oriented and well-organized.
