DIRECTOR OF MEMBERSHIP EXPERIENCE AT TROUT NATIONAL - THE RESERVE

Opening in Fall 2025, Trout National is an awe-inspiring collaboration between MLB All-Star Mike Trout and local partner and businessman John Ruga, with design by golf icon Tiger Woods' TGR Design. Their vision is clear: To be the world’s premier private golf club, building an enduring legacy driven by passionate members who love and respect the game and a team dedicated to delivering a memorable experience. The Director of Membership Experience (DME) will support the General Manager/COO and Board of Managers of Trout National - The Reserve in their mission.

DIRECTOR OF MEMBERSHIP EXPERIENCE – POSITION OVERVIEW Trout National – The Reserve is seeking a dynamic Director of Membership Experience (DME) to join its opening team. This role presents a unique opportunity for an individual who is passionate about shaping the Club's journey from inception to establishing itself as the premier luxury golf club in the industry. The DME will play a pivotal role in shaping an unparalleled membership experience. The selected candidate will embody intelligence, refinement, and sophistication, coupled with a proven track record of adeptly serving high-profile and high-net-worth clientele.

The Director of Membership Experience will be an adept relationship builder with a talent for cultivating exclusive networks. In this role, the DME will spearhead the conversion of an existing pipeline of hand-selected prospects into esteemed members, introducing them to the Trout National – The Reserve concept and vision and guiding them through the approval process. The expertise required will extend to nurturing offshoots from this pipeline and expanding the outreach for potential memberships. The ability to draw upon the individual’s connections, if they align with the caliber of the Club’s clientele, and crafting a curated list for the owners' consideration will be favorable aspects for this role.

INITIAL PRIORITIES OF THE NEW DIRECTOR OF MEMBERSHIP EXPERIENCEObserve, listen, ask questions, and learn about Trout National—The Reserve's expected culture and innovation. Build trust with leadership, anticipated staff, and members. Get to know and understand the TNTR vision and mission. Be the “face and go-to person” for membership needs in the start-up phase of the club.Collaborate closely with the Board of Managers and incoming General Manager/Chief Operating Officer (GM/COO) on the Club's "vision" and the means to achieve it, building a culture of Member focus, quality, and service. Build, establish, and maintain rapport with prospective members and convert prospects to members.Expand pipeline from prospect list and converted members’ referrals.Curate a list of potential high-caliber individuals for the Board of Manager’s consideration.Effectively respond to club members and prospective members; field appropriate calls for Board of Managers and GM/COO. Effectively manage the early stages of the member vetting process, interviews, and site visits. Ensure that all members are informed about the Club’s updates and activities through appropriate communication channels (pre- and post-opening).Prepare/execute Member and Prospective Member correspondence; follow up on all prospective and new member communications.Provide tours of Club venues, amenities, etc.; represent the Club as an “Ambassador.”Ensure thorough application completion and provide a comprehensive orientation to new members, acquainting them with the privileges and benefits of their membership. Facilitate member onboarding processes and conduct new member orientations.Manage Membership Management System, ensuring all member and guest information is captured, stored, and disseminated, as is relevant, to the appropriate departments. Emphasize and communicate the critical importance of discretion and confidentiality to staff and collaborate closely with the General Manager/COO to integrate these values into the Club’s culture. Orchestrate and host new and prospective member mixers, membership-related open houses, and member-planned events. Receive and respond to members’ feedback and requests. Relay ideas, feedback, and suggestions to the GM/COO and collaborate on continuously improving the members’ services and experiences. Deliver on special requests and problem-solve expeditiously. Serve as the Club’s first Historian by creating and setting the tradition for memorializing all commemorative events at the Club and developing a safe storage system with a straightforward continuation and maintenance process for future historians.

Ability to organize and complete work by established timelines.Has a deep passion for providing high-quality Member service and a commitment to exceeding expectations.Demonstrates interest and ability to assist with operational responsibilities as the GM/COO needs.Excellent knowledge of Club/Membership practices, regulations, and operational procedures is a plus.Ability to proactively lead a team with a transparent, uplifting, inspirational style.Be responsive vs. reactive; an exceptional communicator and listener.Ability to communicate clearly and eloquently verbally and has exceptional written communication skills to interact professionally with elite clientele and dedicated staff.An understanding of the game of golf is highly preferable.Excellent understanding of computers and software programs, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Experience with CRM/MMS systems is an added benefit.Driven and self-motivated with a strong ability to prioritize and multitask.A trustworthy, confident, diplomatic, and competent industry professional with an engaging and polished presence who has a genuine desire to provide exceptional service.

EDUCATIONAL AND CERTIFICATION QUALIFICATIONSA four-year college/university degree, with a degree or concentration in Hospitality / Communications / Marketing / Public Relations or a related concentration/degree, is required. In lieu of the degree, substantial private club or hospitality experience will be considered.A graduate degree is welcomed.A minimum of seven years of practical industry or related experience is desired.
