Estimator

This position will be responsible for creating and managing estimates for residential and commercial properties. The Estimator is to inspect the project, and complete a thorough scope of work either with the insurance adjuster or for an insurance adjuster for final approval of the reconstruction of the project from start to finish. In this position, you will scope residential and commercial water damage, wind damage, and fire damage for restoration projects. The estimates will be created utilizing the Xactimate estimating platform and should be written with the end user in mind. The Estimator will ensure that the estimate is delivered on time per the requirements of the client. • Must be able to complete multi-sketches with multi-levels sketches with accuracy. • The estimator will handle the day-to-day duties of scoping new losses to sell the jobs. Walks the customers through the estimated scope and explains the general claims/repairs process flow. • Communicates with insurance adjusters, customers, and other materially interested parties to better provide accurate written estimates based on an agreed scope of work. • Build relationships with insurance adjusters to secure additional projects as a result of the estimating provided. In addition, Estimators will work to help Business Development solidify relationships with insurance agents, property management and HOA’s for company growth. • Estimators will have a working knowledge of Xactimate and Symbility. In addition, Estimators will keep up to date with technological trends in estimating as well as be familiar with other estimating tools. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Provide project supplemental estimates to adjuster/client and report changes in project estimate value to Admin. • all required TPA documentation, which can include but is not limited to: photos, estimates, sub bids and flooring evaluations to be uploaded in accordance with provided guidelines. • Assist the department in maintaining the necessary TPA key performance indicators for the programs we are involved in. • Assist in the creation and review of project budgets to be completed by the assigned project manager.
