Financial Director

Our exclusive client is a global leader in autonomous, AI powered aerial robotics. This business directly addresses the Defense and Security markets in North America. As a result of this expansion, they have a Director of Finance opening for a well-qualified candidate. This position reports directly to the CEO and is a key position within the company. The Director of Finance will provide financial leadership and operate as a business partner and trusted advisor. This role will have direct responsibility for all financial matters, including budgets/forecasts and performance of the business. Be hands-on and oversee all financial operations, from FP&A to driving working capital and cash flow performance to achieve budget commitments. Responsibilities: • Oversee all aspects of the company's financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.• Lead month-end close, ensuring revenue recognition and COGS have been properly recorded and review shared services transactions, such as payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets and other general accounting entries.• Prepare the Company’s monthly financial reporting package which is distributed to the Board of Directors and investors.• Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth and long-term business objectives.• Identify and analyze financial risks, establish risk management policies and procedures, and provide guidance to mitigate risks.• Manage the company's cash flow and treasury functions, including banking relationships and cash management strategies.• Establish and manage financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and industry best practices.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Program Managers, Engineering, Production, Contracts, and Purchasing) to provide end-to-end financial support.• Manage all aspects of tax compliance, including the preparation and filing of tax returns.

Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Accounting is required.• 10+ years of progressive finance-related experience.• Experience with ERP and Financial Planning systems such as Oracle.• Knowledge of financial analysis/reporting, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), FAR/DFAR, proposal pricing, and applicable government billing systems (WAWF).• Experienced reviewing contracts and preparing financial models.• Successful experience working in Manufacturing environment – Aerospace.• Strong presentation skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.• Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.• US Citizenship required.• Background Check required.
