As an employee of an Amazon Delivery Service Partner (DSP), you will work directly out the new Amazon delivery station in Bremerton WA. What You’ll Do:As the Fleet and Equipment Manager (FM) you will be primarily responsible for all operations and delivery equipment. The FM will champion performance, maintenance, and functionality of all delivery equipment up to and including delivery vans, rentals, delivery devices, , onboarding, and office administrative maintenance for JAWS Logistics.

The FM will work directly with JAWS Operations Manager in determining Authorized Fleet size and delivery van capacity to ensure daily route commitments are fulfilled and balance the need of third party rental capacity and cost. Training and coaching of delivery equipment functionality and safe practices. The FM will manage PM and services and action Third Party vendors in maintaining quality repairs to company equipment. The FM will work with Amazon Central Operations, on site leadership, and RFM for delivery van escalations and serviceability resolution.

Equipment focus will be all inclusive of repairs, maintenance to Amazon road worthiness, insurance provider and law enforcement engagement when necessary. The FM may also be required for on road assistance of equipment or on site supervision for customer defect escalations and in house repairs of OEM parts such as lighting, mirrors, cameras, seatbelts, batteries, external steps.

The FM may also also have administrative functions up to but not limited to coaching and delivery of corrective action up to a DA’s 2nd written warning. The FM will partner with JAWS OM and other support functions in ensuring and maintaining operations and profitability while upholding maintaining JAWS and Amazon standards and expectations.

Responsibilities:Partner with Operations manage all delivery equipment to daily commitmentsManage and maintain required stock levels of safety and delivery equipmentScheduling and managing equipment Preventative maintenance, repair, warranty Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends in staffing and attritionAssist in Forecasting delivery capacity requirements; partner with Administration and Fleet budgeting; schedule expenditures; analyze variances; initiating corrective actionsPartner with fleet operations systems to determine product handling requirements; develop, implement, enforce, and evaluate policies and procedures; develop processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shippingHandle all purchase order requisitions to be submitted for approvalHelp Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulationsRun a safe, injury/accident free workplaceCommunicate customer issues with operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints (Amazon)Work closely with Administration team to set and/or implement policies, procedures, and systems and to follow through with implementation.Work closely with the Operations manager and Office Manager to perform analysis of delivery inventory and ensure we are utilizing our inventory effectively, purchasing the right equipment, maintaining solid inventory data, and reduce sub-rental expensesPartner with JAWS OM to engage legal counsel and safety department to ensure all processes remain compliant with OSHA health and safety regulations and other governmental regulationsCoordinating different teams to foster an exchange of ideas and provide cross-team learning opportunitiesAssessing and analyzing departmental budgets to find ways to optimize profitabilityInspiring and motivating employees through positive encouragement and incentive initiativesCommunicating with stakeholders (Amazon) about shifting company priorities and projectsIdentifying potential problems and points of friction and finding solutions to maximize efficiency and revenueEnforcing regulatory and safety standards
