The freelance reporter will write about local news subjects by covering events such as as community and government meetings, and arts, educational and cultural events, primarily in the Saucon Valley, Southern Lehigh and Upper Bucks areas. The ability to write objectively and accurately is a must. Familiarity with web-based programs like Wordpress is a plus.
ResponsibilitiesCovering local news topics and interviewing news subjects; submitting concise news articles in a timely manner; taking photos when necessary; uploading content to the CMS; keeping track of monthly assignments.
QualificationsNewswriting experience is a plus but not required. Some familiarity with the local area is also a plus.
