📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
JOB DESCRIPTION – FUND ACCOUNTANT This Company is seeking a full-time Fund Accountant who is fluent in mandarin to work on a hybrid in-person basis in the Menlo Park, CA office. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this position will have the following responsibilities:
- Review the following, as prepared by the fund administrators (Standish):o capital calls and distribution noticeso quarterly LP report and annual fund financial statementso annual GP report· Assist with quarterly valuations and generate valuation reports· Update the fair value for the quarterly portfolio schedules· Perform analytical review of portfolio companies and the funds· Track the portfolio activities and accounting transactions and maintain internal tracking files· Assist the team with audit-related tasks· Assist with ongoing and fundraising-related investor requests· Assist with tax-related trancing/reporting, such as K1, K3, and tax projects as needed· Collaborate with this company's VP of Finance, CFO, and other team members on projects as needed
JOB REQUIREMENTS · Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting and/or finance concentrations· 2 years of comparable venture capital experience is strongly preferred· Strong analytical and excellent written and oral communication skills, highly collaborative· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word· QuickBooks experience desired, but not required· Proficiency in both spoken and written Chinese· Ability to multi-task, work independently and meet deadlines; detail oriented, organized, positive attitude· Demonstrate the highest standards of professionalism, personal integrity, and accountability· References available upon request
