Summary: Job Description:Manual weighing of small molecule powders for the creation of a 2 million compound screening deckPromote continuous improvement and technological innovation to support vision of an industry-leading compound management organization providing rapid and seamless deliveryMaintain visible and active presence in Lawrenceville compound management labsPerforms laboratory tests or other laboratory work using conventional and computerized machines and work aids at a basic level with supervisionPerforms laboratory work according to prescribed standardsDetermines chemical and physical characteristics or compositionSets up, adjusts, and operates laboratory equipment and instrumentsUsual requirement is two years of post-secondary education in field of specialtySome companies may accept equivalent education and experience combinedTests for qualities such as purity, stability, viscosity, density, absorption, burning rate, melting or flash point, etc.Tests solutions used in processes for chemical concentration, specific gravity, or other characteristicsTests for presence and content of elements, substances, or impuritiesCollects and analyzes samplesTests samples to verify conformity to specificationsRecords test results and writes test reports describing procedures usedCleans and sterilizes laboratory equipmentMay prepare graphs and chartsMay prepare chemical solutions according to standard formulasMay add chemicals or raw materials to process solutions or product batches to correct or establish formulation required to meet specificationsMay calibrate laboratory instruments
Qualifications & Experience
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in scientific field, preferably in Chemistry, Biology, or EngineeringExceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional groupsGeneral familiarity with scientific laboratory environment, safety, and operations
