We are a 100% virtual boutique family law practice in need of experienced support staff. This role is Part Time and 100% remote within the State of Florida, primarily focused in South Florida.
Are you a detail-oriented and compassionate individual with a passion for family law? We are currently seeking a Experienced Spanish speaking Family Law Legal Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our legal staff, you will play a crucial role in assisting attorneys with all aspects of family law cases, ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of service and support.
Role DescriptionThis is a part-time remote role for a Legal Assistant at True North Law, PA. As a Legal Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting attorneys and legal professionals in various administrative tasks. This includes conducting legal research, preparing legal documents, organizing and maintaining files, scheduling meetings, and assisting with client communication. The role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. The following tasks will be regular tasks to expect such as: Assist attorneys in drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requestsManage and organize case files, including maintaining electronic and physical filing systemsCommunicate effectively with clients, courts, and opposing counselSchedule appointments, hearings, and meetings, and maintain attorney calendarsPrepare and coordinate exhibits, evidence, and trial materialsAssist with client intake and preparation of legal formsConduct legal research on relevant statutes, regulations, and case law
Qualifications
Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Law Clerk, with a focus on family law strongly preferredFamiliar with Applications: SLACK, CLICKUP, Florida Family Law Software/DPA, PRACTICEPANTHER and GmailStrong understanding of family law procedures and legal principlesProficiency in legal research, writing, and document preparationExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)Degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Assistant, or related fieldStrong knowledge of family law terminology and proceduresExcellent research and analytical skillsProficiency in document management software and MS Office suiteAttention to detail and accuracy in workStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretionPrevious experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role is preferred
