Plaintiffs Personal Injury Legal Assistant / Legal SecretaryPersonal injury law firm in Fort Lauderdale, Florida has an immediate opening for a skilled, self-motivated Legal Assistant. Must have great attention to detail in scheduling, calendaring, and docketing. Advanced computer skills are necessary. Must have strong communication skills. We work collaboratively and value everyone in our office.
๏ปฟResponsibilitiesProvide legal secretarial support to attorneysResponsible for scheduling/calendaring/docketingAnswer and direct phone calls (very light phone traffic)Communicate with clients, counsel, courts in a professional articulate manner verbally and writtenTrial Preparation and organizationDraft and file basic legal documents and correspondenceMaintain and update all contact information of all parties related to mattersMonitor deadlines and prepare calendar reports for the officeSkillsProven working experience as legal assistant / secretaryFamiliarity with legal procedures, protocols, and the court systemExperience in day-to-day operations of a legal officeComputer literacyExperience with State Court required, and Federal Court a plusWorking knowledge of case management softwareExcellent organizational skillsAbility to multi-task responsibilities and work under pressureDegree, diploma or, certification a plus - but not requiredExperience:Legal Assistant/Secretarial: 5 years (Required)Calendaring/Docketing: 5 years (Required)
