Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist

We are currently looking for a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dynamic and enthusiastic team of occupational, physical, and speech therapists. The position is to begin full time 20 to 25 hours a week in our clinic in our Winter Park office. You will be taking over an existing caseload. You will have the opportunity to shadow and transition with the current therapist. We offer a flexible schedule Monday-Thursdays in a friendly environment so that our therapists can focus on their patients. Our support staff can assist with scheduling and billing. ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and diagnose speech and language communication difficulties.Develop and implement effective treatment programs.Provide counseling to patients and patients’ families about results of testing and recommended treatment options.Establish patient understanding, expectations, and goals for treatment.Create accurate documentation and reporting for all patient visits.Maintain communication with staff and outside agencies per state guidelines.Refer patients to medical specialists or other therapies

QualificationsFamiliarity with a variety of speech and cognitive disordersKnowledge of Medicaid and private insurance plansStrong interpersonal and communication skillsBasic computer literacyAbility to comply with all regulatory standards

Education and Experience Requirements:Masters degree in speech language pathology or related field1-3 years speech language pathology experience (pediatrics preferred)Active state SLP licenseASHA certification preferredCPR certificationLiability Insurance
