Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant position requires a professional with a strong background in accounting principles, financial analysis, and management. This individual will play a key role in the financial operations of the organization with multiple entities under the portfolio, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all accounting functions. The ideal candidate will possess excellent attention to detail, be able to see through the basics of reconciliation, analyze accounting information, and follow through with discrepancies. At the same time, the position will be closely involved with the process of accounts payable, payroll, and recording of new investments.

DutiesUpdate daily bank reconciliations.Prepare ledger entries by maintaining files and records and reconciling accounts.Perform and/or create various balance sheet account reconciliations between different entities.Manage and take ownership over the monthly closing.Prepare journal entries/recurring entries: accruals, prepaids, amortizations, month‐endclosing entries, etc.Compile and maintain support for all accounting activities between multiple subsidiaries.Ensure the accuracy of GL. Review accounting documents to ensure accuracy.Review of general ledger for any missing transactionsEnsure processes and procedures are followed.Assist the Accounting team with various projects and reports and providing analysis into those reports.Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures.Review in detail transactions to ensure compliance with financial requirements.Analyze and review payroll recording to ensure compliance and accuracy between the entities and tax entities. EducationBachelor’s degree in accounting.CPA is a plus.General QualificationsMath Ability:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Strong understanding of accounting methods for models, balance sheets, income statements, spreadsheets, presentations, etc. Strong Microsoft Excel skills.Strong technical and computwr skills.Reasoning AbilityAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
