We build high resolution optical inspection equipment for the leading-edge process nodes and provide the most valuable and economical solutions to our customers.We are hiring a Senior Application Engineer, Optical Inspection to join our growing team. As an early-stage company developing its core technologies this role is necessarily multi-faceted, including both customer facing application support/requirement collection and work with other functional team in the company to define the product. You will be growing your role in other disciplines as the company grows. Your role will enhance our ability to create cutting-edge semiconduction inspection solutions for the industry. You will also collaborate closely with our optical, mechanical, electrical, HPC/system hardware and software teams in order to define technical solutions to ensure the overall system function and performance requirements. Your technical contributions will have a notable impact on our team and the company’s path to the future.
Responsibilities· Research on existing products, wafer processing and collect customer requirements to provide input for product definition· Help define the product from user experience to key performance matrix· Customer facing requirement understanding, collaboration and application support· Work closely and cross-functionally with representatives of other disciplines, including optical, mechanical, electrical, HPC/system hardware and software, to integrate, test and QA at the product level to ensure successful deployment and customer satisfaction· Grow the application and support team as the product matures· Requirements· A minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in the semiconductor optical inspection industry is required· Have a proven track record of customer facing and product definition responsibilities is a plus· Hands-on experience of customer training, application support to solve problems onsite and work with development teams to provide solutions within a time constraint· Have a general understanding of multiple disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, optical, system, and software· Have strong organization and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with people working in other disciplines
Preferred background/skills· PhD or MS in physics, material, processing, optical engineering, or other related major is preferred· Ability to select/propose innovative methods/techniques to improve existing solutions· Past product development experience in any field is a plus· Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills· Verbal/written fluency in Chinese and English
