Senior Claims Representative

Professionals Advocate is seeking an experienced, highly-motivated, and analytical candidate to serve as a Senior Claims Representative on our nationally respected Claims team. As a Senior Claims Representative, you will apply exceptional critical thinking skills to guide the defense of complex medical malpractice litigation.

By collaborating with insureds, defense attorneys, and our management team, you will direct and resolve complex medical and dental malpractice claims. You will use critical thinking skills to develop and execute proactive defenses for your assigned claims. You will also provide outstanding service to our insureds and be an active member of the defense team by regularly meeting with insureds and attorneys. Ultimately, you will apply your understanding of medical and legal issues from a layperson’s perspective to prepare your claims for trial and to negotiate settlements.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Four-year college degree · Several years of claims experience in medical professional liability insurance, or a similar line of insurance· Excellent written and verbal communication skills· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail· Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask· Superior customer service skills· Ability to be a self-starter and work independently

Commitment

This is a full-time position based out of our Richmond, Virginia office. We offer a hybrid remote/in-person work schedule. As a Senior Claims Representative, you will receive a company car.
