Senior SAP Finance Control Consultant

We're looking for an experienced professional to join our team as a leading SAP FICO expert. In this role, you'll spearhead the configuration, architecture, and development of SAP and related systems, with a primary focus on Finance/Costing (FICO) functionality. Collaborating closely with our global business finance team, you'll be instrumental in shaping our company's finance management strategy. Additionally, you'll serve as a subject matter expert, mentoring junior team members and collaborating with other SAP/IT functions and finance teams globally.

Key Responsibilities

Lead requirements gathering, analysis, and design, overseeing the development of projects and enhancements, including technical specifications for FICO configuration, custom coding/ABAP, and interfaces.Act as project manager for small to large projects, managing SAP FICO requirements while also overseeing other SAP/non-SAP functional areas.Assist in configuring SAP ERP FI/CO modules, including Material Ledger, Product Costing (PCC), General Ledger, Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Profit Center Accounting (PCA), Profitability Analysis, Asset Accounting, and Project Systems/Investment Management.Mentor and provide internal consulting on SAP FICO aspects to junior team members, collaborating closely with key business finance team members to drive operational enhancements related to IT Finance.Respond to production application and system issues, leading or supporting analysis and remediation efforts, including off-hours and holiday support.Work closely with global teams on support and projects, providing recommendations to address issues efficiently.Address user queries and issues promptly.

Must Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP FICO modules, including configuration, customization, and operation of related transactions.Strong technical expertise and hands-on experience implementing and supporting SAP Material Ledger and Actual Costing.Proficiency in fixed asset accounting, profitability analysis (CO-PA), and profit center accounting.Experience managing, implementing, and integrating non-SAP finance applications into and with SAP.Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written).Familiarity with full-lifecycle (SDLC) development and formal change management methodologies.Ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with others.Experience in off/onshore models, working with virtual teams, and collaborating with global IT and business team members.Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract, analyze, and document complex business and technical requirements/strategies from customers and IT team members.Background in Finance or Accounting.Manufacturing or business experience with a solid understanding of business operations/processes.Experience with international or global SAP deployments.SAP Hana (S4 Finance) implementation experience.Experience in Bank Interfaces (incoming and outgoing files) implementation/support.Familiarity with all core SAP applications and tools, including SAP Smart forms, ALE, IDOC, Remote Function Calls, BAPI, ABAP, ALV, Web Dynpro, LSMW conversions.
