Description SummaryThe Macro Development team is responsible for building and supporting a world-class suite of tools for our portfolio managers and their teams. We are in the early stages of designing and starting to build the suite of core components that will underpin the offering of this team for years to come. We are looking for an experienced and eager developer to join our team in supporting this mandate. Role Overview:As part of Macro Engineering, work closely with the quantitate research team to help architect and build our next gen Macro trading platformCollaborate in a fast-paced global team environment to understand, engineer, and deliver on business requirementsStrike a balance along the dimensions of feasibility, stability, scalability, and time-to-market when delivering solutionsQualifications & Requirements:4+ years of work experience as a backend developer with demonstratable expertise in multiple languages, specifically python, java, c#, or c++”Experience architecting and building backend applications beginning from the design phase through implementationExperience with code optimization and performance tuningStrong knowledge of distributed systems application components (databases, messaging, caches), ideally in a cloud centric environmentUnderstanding of the full scope of application development (authentication, integrating with APIs, build process, testing, validation, state management)Experience with source code control (Git experience preferred)Excellent communication skillsAdditional experience in the following areas is a plus:Experience building Restful APIsExperience with any additional programming languages (C++, Java, Python)Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational database technologiesExperience with FICC products and systems a big plusExperience working with financial market data from Bloomberg, Reuters or other similar sourcesExperience with hedge fund industry or other financial instruments/software (research, risk management, portfolio accounting, reconciliation, order management, etc.)
