Summary: Metropolitan Software is looking for an ambitious professional with entrepreneurial energy and a broad technical skill set to become a senior product specialist. The ideal candidate will have a sound background in software, but will have the capacity to reach across multiple disciplines within the organization and contribute in an array of key areas: client services, presales support, project management, new-client onboarding, software configuration, infrastructure support, and training development. Metropolitan Software is a small, progressive software company making dynamic cloud-based solutions providing real-time analysis of time and attendance data. Our state-of-the-art attendance-tracking solution features a dynamic browser-based UX with a modern dashboard and interactive graphics & analytics. Job Responsibilities: You will work closely with both the software development organization and the service organization to become a technical expert on our flagship product, Attendance Counts®. As a technical product expert, you will represent the highest tier of technical support for the national client base, evaluating client needs; implementing new clients; developing productivity tools; managing our systems infrastructure, and training new users. This position has both a customer-facing component, and a back-office component. On the customer side, you’d work directly with national corporate clients to implement and configure customizable software, manipulate database settings to accommodate specific requirements, help diagnose and resolve client issues, and train new users. You’ll also be reaching out to existing users with the goal of increasing product utilization, product engagement, and client retention. On the back-office side, you’d work with the development organization to build productivity tools, test and roll out new features, streamline our nightly workflow process, and debug complex software and integration issues. You would also be responsible for the technical infrastructure and operational function of the company: working with a variety of vendors and subscriptions, such as our data hosting services, email services, AWS, and a variety of productivity tools and services. Lastly, you would work on building partnerships with new Time and Labor vendors with the goal of integrating Attendance Counts with additional timekeeping solutions. You will also participate in development and product design meetings, helping to shape the direction and positioning of the product suite. Depending on the interests and skillset of the candidate, this position could grow into other areas, including product management, pre-sales support (including product demonstrations), and software development. Note this is a long-term, full-time position. (If you are looking for contract-work, please don’t apply.) Are you energized by the opportunity to work directly with clients to ensure they have the best possible experience with our solutions? Are you comfortable working across multiple disciplines within the company, including service, sales, product development, project management and partner relations?
