Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role located in Clifton Heights, PA. As a Title Examiner/Processor at Universal Settlement Services, LLC.
Title Examiner Responsibilities:· Review documents for completeness and follow up for any missing information.· Examine documentation such as mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, Plat books, maps, contracts, and agreements to verify factors such as property legal descriptions, ownership, or restrictions.· Compile, sort and verify the accuracy of data before it is entered.· Compare data with source documents, or re-enter data in verification format to detect errors.· Process orders on a timely basis, request tax certification on each order.· Place order for payoff statements and direct payoffs to be returned to correct location.· Assist with preparation of Settlement Statements.· Maintain compliance with all policies and procedures.· Perform related duties as assigned by management State issued Title Insurance Producers License (a plus); not required· Working knowledge of Title Express (a plus); not required.
QualificationsAt Least +2 Years Prior experience as a Title Examiner or ProcessorStrong knowledge of title examination procedures and legal requirementsProficiency in MS Office Word, Excel and OutlookAttention to detail and ability to identify and resolve title issuesExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
