Production Planning Manager

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Ecolab, Nalco team as Production Planning Manager at our plant located in Fresno, Texas. This role will lead the production planning team to success by delivering results, driving planning process improvements, and building strong cross-functional relationships. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of supply chain management and be capable of providing strong leadership, guidance, and supervision to the team.

Leadership

What You Will Do

Provide leadership and direction for the production planning team, overseeing day-to-day activities, making strategic decisions, and partnering cross-functionally to achieve success related to delivery, production, and financial goals, including inventory management.Work cross-functionally with strategic planning, procurement, customer service and marketing to:Allocate critical and/or constrained materialsReduce Excess/ Obsolete materialsTroubleshoot issues leading to DIFOT failuresUnderstand and react to changes in demandWork with Marketing to resolve slow-moving/ obsolete productsSet clear objectives and guide the team to ensure alignment with overall site-specific, and broader team goalsManage and Report out of team KPI/goals including DIFOT/SIFOT, Inventory health, and Schedule AdherenceLead and facilitate team and cross-functional meetings to evaluate metrics while addressing challenges and opportunities

Escalations And Decision-Making

Handle escalations and complex issues related to production planning, raw material planning, and inventory goalsMake critical decisions that impact the efficiency and effectiveness of site planning operations

Projects And Process Improvement

Lead and drive projects focused on cost savings, process improvements, and supply chain optimizationIdentify opportunities for streamlining processes, reducing waste, and improving overall supply chain performanceEmploy problem-solving techniques such as 5 whys, root cause analysis, and implementing process improvements to effectively tackle challenges and ensure long-term success

Talent Development

Develop and mentor team members, providing guidance, training, and support to foster talent and skill developmentConduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to enhance individual and team performance

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree 6 years of Planning, Logistics, or Manufacturing experience1 year of experience directly leading a teamStrong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skillsImmigration sponsorship not available for this position

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field of studyAdvanced degree, MBA preferredAbility to create, clearly articulate and execute on a strategic visionStrong business acumen and experience collaborating with Cross-functional teamsSkilled in resolving conflict situations effectivelyproven track record of successfully leading change initiatives to improve operational efficienciesStrong SAP proficiencyExperience in operational excellence and project management such as PMP, TPM, Lean Six Sigma, continuous improvement, Green Belt, etc.Advanced knowledge/ superuser in SAP and/or JDAAPICS Certification2-5 years’ experience leading a team
