Shift Hours: Monday through Friday 9am-5pm

Position Summary

Under the general supervision of the Regional Manager or designee, this position works to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the families served. To accomplish this, the position works closely with the youth and family to develop and implement treatment plans as well as providing group treatment.

Responsibilities

The Therapist position may include the following, as well as other duties assigned:

Provide the families with appropriate mental health services, treatment planning, diagnostic assessments, and substance abuse treatment including ISP goals. Provide supervision to the treatment coordinator. Provide ongoing therapeutic services to our treatment foster care homes in accordance with our contract. Provide group treatment to the youth and families. Responsible for submitting all required paperwork, including accurate billing forms, time sheets, and case notes. Attend all NYAP training programs and agency-sponsored events. Serve as a local community liaison to link clients with appropriate services. Work directly with the youth and families in outpatient services. Maintain productivity standards. Participate in Quality Advancement activities.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Social Work or comparable Human Services field from an accredited institution. Must hold a current and valid LSW, LISW, LPCC, LPC, and/or LCPC. Ability to bill Medicaid Two years’ experience working with families in the mental health field. Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.

Other Skills/Qualification

Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license Must demonstrate a commitment to service and the ability to advocate for youth and families.
