Production Maintenance Supervisor

Position Overview

Navistar is seeking a Production Maintenance Supervisor to lead our skilled trades (Millwrights, Electricians, Plumber/Steamfitter and HVACR) in the maintenance activities for our Springfield Assembly Plant. This position is for 2nd shift position but will need flexibility work any shift. Some weekends may be required.

Responsibilities

Oversees the maintenance of production equipment. Maintains production equipment in a manner that meets company standards and ensures minimum equipment downtimeOversees technicians that repair and maintain the production and test equipmentEstablishes and maintains preventive maintenance programs and proceduresManages training programs to ensure proper operation, preventive maintenance, and repair programs and proceduresMaintains inventory and/or spare partsSchedules manufacturing maintenance activitiesSelects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degreeAt least 6 years of maintenance experienceAt least 1 year of lead experience

OR

Master’s degreeAt least 4 years of maintenance experienceAt least 1 year of lead experience

OR

At least 8 years of maintenance experienceAt least 1 year of lead experience

Additional Requirements

Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

Experience with production maintenance planning strongly desiredExperience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) INFOR highly desired but not requiredSupervising a represented workforce in the skilled trades (Millwright, Electrician, Plumber/Steamfitter and Industrial HVACR)Understanding of automated systems and required maintenance activitiesUnderstanding of robotics and related programmable automationUnderstanding of preventative maintenance systemsDemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and AutoCADDemonstrated analytical, planning and organizational skills
