Job Description

As the Chat Associate Producer for TODAY with Hoda & Jenna, you will work directly with producers and senior producers to help pitch, write, and produce news and entertainment content for broadcast, with a focus on the daily chat segments.

Responsibilities

Curate and pitch pop culture, topical, and other stories for daily coverage in chat segmentGather visual elements, prep graphics, and assist with editing for chat and other segment productionAssist with full scope of production including research, booking, and pre-interviewingCoordinate with the TODAY design team, control room, legal & standards, rights & clearances and outside resources selected by producersWrite and produce segments (both live and tape)

Qualifications

Must have at least 3 years’ of editorial experience working in production at the network level, preferably with morning televisionMust have a deep knowledge of pop cultureBachelor’s degree preferredMust have strong social media knowledgeProficient in Outlook and iNewsWilling and able to work flexible hours, including weekends, under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news.Must be able to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift with little or no notice if needed.Willing to work in New York, NYMust have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.Interested candidates must submit a resume/CV through nbcunicareers.com to be considered

Additional Responsibilities

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
