Come join a growing organization! Neogen is looking to hire a Senior Accountant at our Lexington location.
Duties and Responsibilities include
Reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balancesPreparing financial statementsSupporting month-end and year-end close.Preparing financial statements, journal entries and account reconciliations.Assessing internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas.Assisting with budget preparation and preparing the monthly budget variance analyses.Maintaining and reconciling fixed assets schedules.Assisting with initial internal control evaluations.Participates in physical inventory counts.Performs training on use of Solomon when requested.Reviews intercompany charges.Performs miscellaneous financial analysis as requested.Responds to requests by corporate accounting departments.Participates in staff meetings.Conducts internal audits. Participates in monthly management meetings.Communicates all problems and exceptions to manager.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in accounting from four-year college or university3-5 year related experience and/or trainingOR equivalent combination of education and experience.
