DC Team Member Outbound

Job Description

Hours: 6 am - 2:30 pm

We are looking more for labors. These team members are coming in to physically unload containers and place the items on pallets. Bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting and stacking boxes. They will not be using any of our tech or equipment. They will wrap pallets by hand and use the manual pallet jack to move pallets. When needed they help with cleaning (sweeping, pulling empty pallets, etc.)

We do set a goal for the workers for their 8 hour day.

The TEMPORARY Associate Efforts will be to off-load - floor loaded containers - to pallets.

Items on contatiners can be mixed. Attention to detail is of the upmost importance.

They will report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor/lead or Manager.

They will maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.

Other duties like cleaning are as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORK ENVIRONMENT The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus to perform the essential functions. Must be able to read labels on products.

Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with co-workers. Must be able to operate a hand jack. Occasionally must be able to exert up to 70 pounds of force and/or frequently exerting up to 50 pounds of force, and/or constantly up to 30 pounds of force to move objects.
