Principal Cloud Security Engineer

As a Principal Cloud Security Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our cybersecurity objectives by providing expert guidance and implementing robust security controls for our cloud environments.

Key Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or equivalent.Eight or more years of cybersecurity experience, with a focus on cloud security.Industry certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GIAC, Security+, SSAP, etc.Direct experience with Azure Cloud Security (AWS experience is desirable).Experience working in manufacturing or government environments.

Responsibilities:Design, implement, and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions for detecting unauthorized access and potential threats in cloud environments.Collaborate with architects and analysts to ensure security solutions align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.Serve as a trusted advisor to business functional areas and internal IT resources, ensuring alignment with cybersecurity policies.Advocate for cyber risk mitigation during planning and implementation of new technology services.Maintain awareness of information security and compliance standards, contributing to the development of cybersecurity strategies and roadmaps.Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of cybersecurity programs, including threat management, data governance, and cloud security.Work with CSIRT to improve processes, procedures, and training related to cybersecurity incident response.

Skills:Proficiency in scripting languages such as Powershell, Terraform, Java, JavaScript, and Python.Demonstrated conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences.Experience with complex projects and issues across multiple technical areas and lines of business.Knowledge of security controls for networks, applications, and operating systems.Familiarity with InfoSec systems such as SEIM, SOAR, IDS/IPS, and Sandbox Analysis Tools.Ability to obtain or hold an active U.S. Government Secret level clearance.Direct experience with SEIM or SOAR platforms is advantageous.
